Calling all detail-oriented accounting wizards! LHH is searching for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's dynamic team on the northeast side of Louisville, KY.
In this hybrid role , you'll play a key role in keeping their financial operations running smoothly, all while enjoying the flexibility of working from home (as long as you reside in the Indianapolis area) .
What You'll Do :
- Be the invoice master : Process accounts payable efficiently and reconcile vendor statements.
- Become a hawk for accuracy : Review invoices, identify discrepancies, and solve them like a pro.
- Put your coding skills to work : Enter invoices into accounting software (PeopleSoft preferred!).
- Ensure flawless weekly check runs on time, every time.
- Keep vendor files organized and up-to-date.
- Lend a hand with month-end closing tasks.
- Respond to vendor inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Be a team player : Support the accounting team whenever needed.
Who You Are :
- A high school graduate with a passion for accuracy and a knack for numbers. College coursework in accounting or finance is a plus!
- 1-3 years of experience in accounts payable would be fantastic, but strong work ethic and eagerness to learn are highly valued.
- You understand basic accounting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft accounting software is a major advantage, but not required.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills you can handle any situation with professionalism.
- You're comfortable working independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
