Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant - Tier 1, Publicly Traded Company in Irvine

One of Orange County's largest publicly traded companies is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, the Senior Accountant is responsible for the financial reporting of for one of their largest commercial real estate portfolios,

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statement package, including preparing journal entries, GL review and bank reconciliations
• Analyze variances compared to forecast
• Coordinate month-end close and production of financial statements for timely reporting
• Analyze variances in financial statements and provide explanations to management
• Preparation of monthly cash flow analysis for joint venture portfolio
• Preparation of monthly forecasts / budgets based on leasing assumptions for portfolio

Requirements

• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 4+ years of experience in corporate or property accounting department
• Yardi experience a plus, as well as real estate accounting a plus
• Excellent communication skills
