The ability to think from a customer back’ perspective is also critical.This role supports Capital One Enterprise Data (eData) and is positioned in the Enterprise Services Risk Office.

We are the first line of defense to help ensure our Company remains well-managed and avoids unnecessary risk supporting our Enterprise Data teams.

In this position, you will play a key role in enhancing our risk processes for Enterprise consumption and experience tools and platforms across Capital One.

As the risk team for eData, we are on the cutting edge of risk management, providing support for our critical business strategies as Capital One has taken a bold journey to build a technology company, while operating in a complex, highly regulated business.

The eData team is always thinking about game changing products and experiences to benefit the company, and as their risk partner- you are a central player in all the excitement.

Specific responsibilities of the Risk Manager include and are not limited to : Partner with the eData risk team in the development and execution of the Syndicat risk office vision and deliver on enterprise and team objectives.

Partner with the eData Risk team and the eData Product and Tech teams to deliver on the identification and development of risks, issues, and / or mitigation plans to ensure the business implements needed changes and addresses areas of exposure.

Develop and help to deliver senior level risk management reporting and communicationsCollaborate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and leaders across multiple organizations to achieve strategic objectives Coordinate program-related activities and deliverables to ensure effective collaboration within the team and across stakeholder groupsContinuously look for ways to improve and innovate in our approach to risk management.

Establish and maintain relationships with Enterprise Services process owners, process managers, and vertical risk advisorsAbout You : You have a deep passion for prioritizing and managing risks and initiativesYou have experience in a regulated industry environment and meeting compliance objectivesYou possess strong critical & conceptual thinking, problem solving skills You are proactive and innovative in your thought processProven ability to effectively present complex information in a impactful & meaningful way that drives effective action & decision makingYou have strong written & verbal communication skills with effective executive presenceBasic Qualifications : High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certificationAt least 3 years of experience in Process Management, Risk Management or a combination of bothAt least 3 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clientsPreferred Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree or military experience5+ years of experience in process management or 5+ years of experience in risk management, specifically with data management at an enterprise level5+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs, specifically in a Data Ecosystem1+ years of experience in the financial services industry, including familiarity with regulatory practices1+ years of experience in process development, documentation, and improvement experience1+ year of experience in controls development, controls management, and reporting activitiesDemonstrated ability to understand Industry Data Management or Data Risk / Security related certification including Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Risk & Information System Control (CRISC), or Certified Information Privacy Professional (any discipline) (CIPP)Strong relationship building skills, customer focus and ability to collaborate across teams to deliverAbility to communicate and influence clearly and to interact effectively at all levels of the organizationExcellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills to effectively respond to shifting priorities, demands and timelinesAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
