Safety and Risk Manager

The Safety and Risk Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of safety programs and initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a safety-first culture. This role is critical in mitigating risks associated with our car hauling operations, driving continuous improvement in workplace safety, and promoting operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures to enhance workplace safety and minimize operational risks.
• Collaborate with departmental leaders to ensure the effective integration of safety protocols into daily operations.
• Conduct regular safety assessments, audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
• Provide expert guidance and support to employees on safety matters, including organizing training sessions and awareness programs.
• Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of incidents, corrective actions, and safety metrics, reporting regularly to senior management.
• Coordinate and lead safety training sessions, workshops, and emergency drills to ensure employees are well-prepared for hazardous situations.
• Monitor, analyze, and report on safety data and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Review and monitor ELD safety videos, offering coaching and developing new KPIs based on recurring incidents.
