LYNC Registered Nurse (Part Time 20 Hours per Week)

About the role
Position Summary : This role will be based in our Latina’s y Nino’s program aimed to serve women in recovery. Latinas y Niños is a 6- to 12-month addiction treatment program focusing on the unique cultural and social needs of Latina women in recovery and their children.
Our goal is to offer families a safe, supportive environment to heal from trauma and develop their own unique pathway to recovery.
As part of the Casa Esperanza, Inc. team, you will provide services in a fully integrated, holistic, and collaborative manner using a team-treatment approach.
What you'll do
- Complete Nursing Assessments, COWS, CIWA Assessments.
- Complete medical clearance exam at time of intake.
- Complete Medication Monitoring and all required documentation.
- Complete Medication Counts at start and finish of shift of all control substances.
- Work closely with clinical team during MDT meetings to provide client medical insight.
- Consult with staff and attend case conferences as needed.
- Work collaboratively with PMHNP / Providers for medication reconciliation process.
- Directly collaborate with community providers for medication refills and reconciliation.
- Ensure a clearly reviewed record of all quality assurance reviews.
- Establish group curriculum to provide 2 hours weekly of health education material.
- Meet with each patient to establish medication plans as needed.
- Participate in referral to community-based care for patients.
- Complete evaluations based on client requests for medical attention.
- Keep electronic health records up to date including progress notes and assessments of service.
- Educate clients on their current medical diagnosis, needs, and medication information.
- Alert provider for any medication refills or abnormalities.
- Collaborate with counselors to ensure proper medication management.
- Work with Program Director on medication errors and monitoring procedures.
- Ensure responsibilities regarding Duty to Warn and Mandated Reporting are fulfilled.
Qualifications
- Massachusetts Licensed Registered Nurse.
- Knowledge of EHR systems.
- Ensure patient confidentiality in accordance with all regulations.
- Knowledge of best practices from the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
- Knowledge of Medication Assisted Treatment for substance use disorders.
- Knowledge of Substance Use Disorder.
Physical & Mental Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Schedule :
Part Time 20 hours, Flexible Schedule.
