Job Description :
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Kalamazoo, MI. As an integral part of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing financial records, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for numbers, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist with tax preparation and coordination with external auditors.
- Provide support for financial audits and reviews.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
