Human Resources Partner Employee and Labor Relations

Salary Range : $60,000 $65,000 to start DOE

Are you an experienced HR professional looking to make a significant impact in one of the most popular places to live? Hillsborough County, located in beautiful Tampa Bay, is seeking a seasoned Employee & Labor Relations Partner to join our dynamic team.

This role is more than just an administrative function you’ll serve as a strategic partner influencing countywide policies and improvements that affect over 6,000 employees.

What We’re Looking For :

Extensive Experience : 6+ years in employee relations and union environments, with a strong track record in handling grievances, disciplinary investigations, labor-management meetings, and conducting supervisory and employee training.

Adept at finding solutions aligned with policies, contract language, and legal requirements. Our perfect candidate understands and is proficient at successfully managing relationships between the Union, Management, and Employees.

Minimum Qualifications Required :

  • Graduation from an accredited four-year degree granting college or university with a major in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Industrial / Organizational Psychology, or Law; AND
  • Five years of experience in Employee Relations and Labor Relations, some of which may also include Conflict Resolution, HR Policy Development, Performance Management Training, and Legal Compliance; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education (not less than possession of a high school diploma / GED), training, and experience that would reasonably be expected to provide the job-related competencies noted above.
  • SPHR, SHRM-SCP or a similarly recognized certification in Human Resource Management is preferable.
