Responsibilities :
- Works independently with minimal supervision to perform physical examinations and preventive health measures.
- Responds to and initiates care for medical emergencies throughout the facility.
- Orders and performs diagnostic procedures.
- Prescribes controlled substances and devices in accordance with current regulations.
- Maintains accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Provides education to patient, healthcare and correctional staff.
- Performs care consistent with the scope of licensure and in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned by facility.
