Sr. Director, Small Cell Product Development

We’re on the lookout for an enthusiastic and personable Sr. Director of Small Cell Product Development who can help us design, manage, deliver and deploy unique small cell solutions for our customers nationwide.
Based in our New York City or Irvine office you will be responsible for our clients’ communication structure.
What you’ll be doing
As part of the CTO Organization, you’ll be responsible for developing small cell infrastructure products to meet the requirements of our customers.
At all levels, colleagues will rely on your expertise to architect infrastructure solutions to incorporate city and venue visual requirements, engineering requirements, and applications to transform communications and operations.
It’s a multi-faceted role, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be responsible for the following :
- Develop innovative purpose-built small cell infrastructure to support growth initiatives across the Boldyn Networks portfolio
- Manage NYC Link5G priorities, including design improvements, alternative designs to address city requirements, quality control issues, integration of wireless solutions, and alternative designs for future deployment priorities
- Create small cell and kiosk portfolio roadmap to deliver modular and scalable products to meet the needs of our customers
- Engage with Customers to understand their unique requirements and to collaborate to develop solutions
- Design temporary wireless infrastructure solutions to meet the needs of customers and to support multiple technologies and capabilities
- Develop ecosystem of solution partnerships to enhance the capabilities of small cells and kiosks, including the integration of peripheral devices and applications into a complete holistic solution serving the needs of both the Customer and Boldyn
- Develop cost effective solutions that can scale across the Boldyn portfolio with a level of customization of form and application
- Perform competitive assessments of the small cell and kiosk industry offerings to create improved designs and better position our solutions
- Balance the cost, capabilities, visual impact, and functionality of designs to right fit the solutions to our Customers
- Develop vertical strategies and high-level visions for key verticals, including smart cities, entertainment venues, higher education, and convention centers
- Create design concepts that satisfy customer requirements and deliver technology solutions
- Engage wireless carriers to create designs to meet technical requirements
- Manage suppliers to deliver designs, BOMs, pricing, schedules, and inventory
- Engage with municipalities to understand requirements and collaborate on designs to gain approvals
- Manage initiatives across multiple venues and cities to support business development
- Coordinate with key internal stakeholders, including Finance, Operations, Technology, Procurement, Legal, and Business Development
What you’ll bring

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- More than 15 years of progressive experience in engineering and operations roles within the manufacturing industry, with a focus on new product development
- Proven record of successful product launches from development through volume production
- Small cell and kiosk experience, including systems design, structural analysis, functional design
- Demonstrated ability to establish, manage, and scale strategic vendor relationships
- Executive level engagement experience with suppliers and customers, including wireless carriers
- Cross functional leadership skills and experience, with the ability to engage stakeholders to deliver solutions
- Knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to manufacturing and engineering
- Experience developing smart community solutions
