Job Description :
The Ambulatory Telephone Triage Nurse plays a crucial role in providing timely and efficient healthcare support to patients by telephone.
The Telephone triage nurse provides timely and accurate assessment of a patient’s symptoms and utilizes critical thinking, nursing judgement, and approved decision support tools to provide appropriate nursing advice and determine the level of care required.
Education :
Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program Required
Bachelor's Degree Nursing - Preferred
Experience :
1 Year Acute Care Hospital - Preferred
1 Year Ambulatory, triage, or medical office experience - Preferred
1 Year Telephone Triage Preferred
Certifications / Licensures :
RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required
BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required
Skills
Evenings and weekends may be required
Advanced clinical assessment and decision-making ability
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Able to work well independently
Functions well in a high-stress environment
Sound critical thinking
Effective time management and organization skills
Empathetic with the ability to develop trust with patients
Bilingual in English / Spanish- preferred

Pay Range :
$66.27 - $89.47Hourly
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated / relevant experience and / or licensure.
Note : Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting.
