A company is looking for a Government Underwriter to evaluate and approve government-backed mortgage loans.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze loan applications and supporting data for accuracy and compliance
Review borrower creditworthiness through loan-to-value and debt-to-income ratios
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of government lending guidelines and collaborate with various teams to ensure a smooth loan experience
Required Qualifications
Strong understanding of FHA, VA, and USDA underwriting guidelines
Knowledge of conventional mortgage products and investor requirements
Proficiency in mortgage loan origination systems, preferably Encompass
Ability to work independently while aligning with team objectives
Commitment to quality, integrity, and superior customer service
