Job Description

Flat Fee Landlord is a fast-growing property management and real estate investment company. We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to help us deliver exceptional service to both property owners and residents. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing a portion of our property portfolio, including communication, renewals, delinquency, maintenance coordination, and make-ready processes. The ideal candidate is organized, process-driven, and an excellent communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Compensation :

$37,000 - $45,000 yearly

Responsibilities :

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portion of the property portfolio, managing both resident and owner communication.
  • Respond to inquiries within 4 business hours across phone, email, and portal messages.
  • Coordinate lease renewals 120+ days before expiration, ensuring all renewals are completed on time.
  • Monitor and manage delinquencies and collections , following company processes for notices and escalations.
  • Oversee maintenance requests : assign vendors, follow up on progress, and provide updates to residents and owners.
  • Manage make-ready turns , including inspections, scheduling repairs / cleaning, and preparing properties for leasing.
  • Accurately document all activities in company systems (AppFolio, LeadSimple, Google Suite).
  • Collaborate with the Portfolio Director and team members to continuously improve efficiency and client experience.

Qualifications :

  • 1–3 years of experience in property management, real estate, hospitality, or customer service preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — professional, empathetic, and responsive.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Process-driven with attention to detail and accountability.
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable using property management systems, CRMs, or similar platforms (experience with AppFolio or LeadSimple is a plus).
  • Team player who embraces company culture and contributes positively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or degree preferred.
