We care about our employees' growth and development.Your Key ResponsibilitiesInspect and document contractor’s work for conformance with the approved documents.

Responsible for the establishment and implementation of the office procedures as they relate to the administration of construction contract with some direction from Supervisor and / or Team leader.

Supervise and Mentor more junior staff.Implement project controls for distribution and record keeping of construction drawings, construction contract correspondence, technical records, and other project documents.

Monitor and document contractor’s work for compliance with project safety standards.Lead and Mentor a team of staff working under your supervision.

Review certified payrolls (manual or electronic (e.g. LCPTracker, AASHTOWare).Coordinate testing on projects.Coordinate project construction staking.

Review of shop drawings and submittals.Conduct regular (weekly, bi-weekly, etc.) construction meetings with contractor, owner and stakeholders.

Prepare monthly or semi-monthly payment requests.Prepare and issue change orders on contract.Conduct field evaluations and assessments as required.

Coordinate with the owner, the contractor and the design team.Effectively address project issues in the field and coordinate solutions with the Contractor, clients, and project personnel.

Perform constructability review on plans and assist in the preparation of project documents and cost estimates.Perform final inspections.

Assist Supervisor and / or Team Leader with client contact, staffing forecasts, and project development. Responsible for some key client development.

QualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsExperience with construction principals, techniques and procedures, occupational hazards and safety precautions.

Understanding of construction surveying and staking procedures.MNDOT, NDDOT, and / or WISDOT Certifications preferred.Must have FHWA and DOT documentation experience.

Experience with the use of AutoCADProficiency with Microsoft Office software.Must have strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team setting.Must be detailed oriented.Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Education and ExperienceFour-year degree in Construction Management or Construction Engineering.10 years of highway heavy construction Inspection / Construction Management experience.

Supervisor and Staff Development experience.Position will primarily work in a field setting; may require some office work.
