Description
Reporting into the Chief Estimator and head of Preconstruction, the Preconstruction Manager - Commercial Construction will be responsible for the following :
- Responsible for handling the bid process
- Lead a complete project cost evaluation
- Develop detailed scopes of work
- Understanding of differential pricing and when to use different unit costs
- Ability to assemble and present a complete presentation
- Ability to prepare detailed conceptual cost estimates and conceptual cost studies
- Participate in client meetings and actively present and review estimates
- Develop and build relationships with local subcontractor market
Profile
The successful Preconstruction Manager - Commercial Construction will have the following attributes :
- 8+ Years of Estimating and Preconstruction Experience
- Experience as an Estimator on large Commercial projects - $5M+
- A Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related-field is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
- Proficient in multiple takeoff, estimating, and project management software
- Local to Tucson preferred but relocators will be considered as well
