How You'll Make an Impact

  • Manage and mentor a team of quality engineers, driving performance evaluations and supporting career growth
  • Lead the development and execution of quality engineering processes and testing strategies to meet project specifications
  • Assess resource needs and perform capacity planning to ensure deadlines are consistently met
  • Develop, enforce and monitor quality standards and procedures to ensure optimal product outcomes
  • Estimate, prioritize and coordinate comprehensive testing activities and create detailed test plans
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Spectrum to facilitate solutions and continuously improve processes
  • Implement metrics and reporting tools to track quality performance and drive improvement initiatives
  • Support internal and external customer issues, driving resolution and escalating risks when necessary
  • Function as backup for the Quality Engineering Senior Manager when required

What You'll Bring to Spectrum

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering software testing
  • 3+ years in a managerial role
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Capacity management planning across multiple business functions
  • Experience in software quality engineering within a large-scale technology environment
  • Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvements and process enhancements in previous roles
  • Skills

  • Ability to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with employees, customers and suppliers
  • Proven experience in quality engineering management or a relevant role
  • Thorough understanding of quality engineering methodologies and standards
  • Skilled in managing complex projects in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities
  • Experience with manual and automation testing tools for both UI and API
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to provide clear recommendations
  • Proficient in conflict resolution and resource workload assessment for team optimization
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication with a clear and professional approach
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, managing multiple priorities
  • Ability to foster collaboration within and across teams
  • Experience leading and coordinating onshore and offshore staff to achieve team goals
  • Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Commitment to adhering to all security measures
  • Ability to identify and implement best practices and modern technologies to enhance efficiency
