Job Description : Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Unit Name : Operating Room
Shift : 5x8 Hours or 4x10 Hours, Monday - Friday
Duration : 13 Weeks
Location : Midland, MI 48670
Overview :
This position is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing surgical procedures in the Cardiovascular Operating Room.
The RN will assess patient needs, develop care plans, and ensure patient safety before, during, and after surgical interventions.
This role includes leading the OR team, effective communication with patients and families, and collaborating with various departments.
Responsibilities :
- Assess patient needs prior to and during surgical procedures, ensuring optimal patient safety.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and document individualized care plans for each patient.
- Lead and provide guidance to the OR team, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, the OR team, supervisors, managers, and ancillary departments.
- Participate in staff development through preceptorship and continuing education initiatives.
Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiovascular operating room setting is required.
Travel : Required for this position.
Specialized Experience : Experience with open-heart surgeries is essential.
Profile Requirements :
- Complete work history, including relevant experience in CVOR.
- Skills checklist, current within the past year, relevant to the specialty.
- Two supervisory reference forms, completed within the last two years.
- Current licensure and certifications (Michigan State License and BLS - AHA).
- Candidates' permanent address will be required; local candidates will not be considered due to a 50-mile radius restriction.
