The Atrium Health Cabarrus Critical Care Team is actively recruiting an experienced, full-time Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant .
The APP will be expected to manage medical, surgical, cardiac, and cardiothoracic surgery ICU patients and attend and contribute to group / practice meetings, development of policies and procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
About the position :
- Work location : Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC in the Greater Charlotte Market
- 100% inpatient, adult medicine
- Service provides 24 / 7 coverage with shift-based model to a 54 bed ICU consisting of a mixed patient population of medical, surgical, and cardiovascular adult patients.
- Shifts are 13 hours long and include days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts are rotated equally among staff.
- Current group consists of 14 physicians and 13 APPs
- Full time position 145 shifts per year
- Employer paid benefits and CME allowance offered
Position Qualifications :
Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program. License to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina. Prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
BLS / ACLS for healthcare provider from AHA required.
- Nurse practitioners are required to have a Master’s Degree or Post Master’s Certificate in Acute Care
- Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
Current or pending CAQ certification preferred.
- NP / PA or RN experience in ICU required
- Knowledgeable about the following procedures or willing to learn : Central Line Placement, Arterial Line Placement, and Intubation
