The main focus is tohelp Freshpoint customers succeed while achieving sales and profitgoals established by the company. This position may require workingsome non-traditional hours (evening, weekends, and holidays) tosuccessfully meet customers' needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES Develop newbusiness, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost businessto achieve profitable sales growth and special objectives withinassigned territory.
Seek and qualify prospects following companyaccount stratification goals. Research customer business needs anddevelops a mix of products and service to meet needs.
Evaluatemarket trends and recommend products to customers, based onbusiness needs and goals. Be informed of market conditions, productinnovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales;
shareinformation with customers as part of value-added servicesprovided. Answer customers' questions about products, prices,availability, and product use.
Provide product information andpractical training to customer personnel. Drive personal vehicle tocustomer accounts, conventions, company meetings, etc.
Communicateand collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with thecredit department and client; collect all balances due based onapproved credit terms.
Manage deliveries to the routing schedulepublished by the transportation department; troubleshoot anyproblems that occur during the order process (for example, out ofstock items, special order items, low inventory, etc.
Participatein company functions, promotions, customer visits, and customerevents. Attend and participate in general sales and districtmeetings.
Engage in ongoing training sessions. Assist with thetraining of new employees as requested. Review and analyze dailyand weekly reports such as special-order requests, customer bidfiles, and sales / gross profit margin data.
Perform administrativeduties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, maintainingsales records, processing credits, and pick-up requests, preparingsales quotes and menu suggestions, and filing reports.
- Other dutiesmay be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education High School degree orequivalent Experience Minimum 2 years of sales, and / orchef / restaurant management experience, and / or related (Business,Sales, Marketing, Hospitality;
- or Culinary Arts) degree. 1 year ofoutside foodservice sales experience preferred Restaurantmanagement / chef experience preferred Skills Proficient in Excel,Word, Microsoft Outlook, and some knowledge of Salesforce a plusWorking knowledge of warehouse distribution, a plus Goodcommunication skills Detail-oriented Preferred QualificationsRestaurant Management, Foodservice Outside Sales, Chef Experiencepreferred Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Valid driver'slicense with a "clean" driving record (including no multiple DUIswithin the last 2 years) Current automobile insurance with thefollowing limits of liability : Bodily injury - $100,000 each personand $300,000 each accident;
property damage - $100,000 is requiredRequirement Submit to pre-employment testing (Drug Screen,Background Check). Must sign Sysco Protective Covenants Agreement.
