Responsibilities
- Understands Steps of Service
- Assists servers throughout shift by performing table maintenance whenever necessary
- Clears, cleans and resets tables as needed
- Assists bartenders by stocking beer and ice
- Sweeps / cleans the floor to maintain cleanliness
- Visually observes guests and can respond to non-verbal cues
- Assists servers by stocking stations
- Communicates with host staff concerning table updates to ensure the continuous flow of seated guests
- Assists with rolling silverware when necessary
- Upholds and maintains cleanliness standards in all areas of the restaurant
- Empties trash cans into the dumpster and helps to maintain cleanliness
- Makes servers aware of any special requests at their tables
- Performs various tasks delegated by management. These may include but are not limited to sweeping, cleaning and other side work duties.
- Handles a guest complaint in a professional manner; follows the steps accordingly
- Follows food safety and general sanitation policies
- Completes perimeter checks as needed
- Completes all opening, ongoing and closing side work.
- Cleans and restocks restrooms.
- Bids a sincere farewell to all departing guests within 10 feet
- Generates fun, and excitement through personality and positive attitude to help ensure many return visits by guests
Qualifications
- Stands / walks during entire shift
- Ability to listen to guests, respond verbally to them and interact with Team Members
- Must reach, bend, stoop and wipe
- Can carry bus tubs weighing up to 40 pounds from all areas of the restaurant to the dish area
- Enthusiastic and professional attitude must be displayed at all times
- Operates a dish washing machine
- 18+ years old
