Position Summary :
The person in this position is required to perform maintenance related duties in order to ensure the proper operation and maintenance of assigned water or wastewater facilities.
Hiring Requirements / Preferences :
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) .
- Education or background in water and / or wastewater treatment or supporting technical field (Electrical / Plumbing / Mechanical) .
- 5 to 7 years' experience as a Maintenance Technician preferred or 5 to 7 years in a regulated industry .
- Relevant work experience including but not be limited to water / wastewater treatment plant troubleshooting, operation and maintenance, hazardous material handling, storage or containment.
- Ability to read, interpret and utilize information found in blueprints, schematics, technical manuals diagrams and equipment specifications.
- Basic knowledge of MA Water / Wastewater regulatory requirements .
- Must be computer literate .
- Must possess a valid unrestricted driver's license .
- Must possess valid MA 2B Hoisting License or be capable of obtaining one within 6 months .
