Starting pay : $21.65 per hour

• Wage increases are provided twice per calender year :
• Anniversary date (+50 cents)
• August 1st (+40 cents)

Schedules Available

1st shift - M-F - 6 : 00am-2 : 00pm

2nd shift - M-F - 2 : 00pm-10 : 00pm (incl. 25 cent shift premium)

3rd shift - M-F - 10 : 00pm-6 : 00am (incl. 40 cent shift premium)

Saturdays as mandated by the customer

Shift availability is based on current manpower needs, not all shifts are available at all times

When over-time is mandated employees will be required to work pre / post shift extensions depending on the regular schedule worked.

About the Role

How you will contribute

• Shuttle loads between home location and customer facility.
• Secure loads using straps and chains to ensure safe transport while driving.
• Perform pre- and post- trip vehicle inspections using DVIR sheets.
• Move trailers and other equipment on and off the dock and within the trucking yard.
• Direct traffic in the yard (including company and non-company drivers).
• Keep track of loads and backhauls in the yard.
• Examine yard equipment and perform load checks while following appropriate safety guidelines.
• Assist management as required to keep the dock flowing.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Key Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL class A operating license (in good standing) and medical certification required.
• Must complete and pass DOT pre-employment background check, drug screen / physical, FMCSA clearing house query and have a clean MVR.
• Experience with driving a 53' tractor / trailer and securing cargo
• Experience maneuvering in tight spaces and backing in and out of dock doors.
• Must speak, read and understand English.
