So, we are working on training and scaling up multimodal foundation models for systems that can see and understand, show and explain, and eventually interact with our world to effect change.

At Luma AI, we are proud of the team we’ve built thus far. We are now looking for a first recruiting leader to help us grow with the same excellent quality and build the best hiring team.

As the first lead recruiter, you will be responsible for the entire recruiting function; which includes but is not limited to technical and non-technical recruiting, sourcing and building a pipeline of talent, establishing a great candidate experience, and creating an employer brand that will attract top talent.

You will also be in charge of creative recruiting events and partnerships. You understand how to market early-stage opportunities to passive candidates as well as how to establish Luma AI within key ecosystems for future hiring.

You are in charge of refining the recruitment process by incorporating feedback from candidates and hiring managers. You are also in charge of hiring and managing external recruiting resources and agencies.

We are looking for someone strategic with strong operational skills who can build a world-class recruiting function at Luma.

Responsibilities

  • Obsess about who we should hire next and what we can do to recruit better.
  • Act as the central hiring leader rather than as a vendor to hiring managers. Get detailed and strategic about business needs and requirements of individual teams that will achieve it.
  • Design, own, and execute customized, full-cycle staffing plans, partnering closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and teams to achieve the best results possible.
  • Create and implement creative sourcing strategies to get the best applicants from across the industry, tailored to the role (research vs.

engineering vs. design etc.).

  • Manage the candidate experience throughout the process to ensure an astonishing candidate experience. Even when we do not move forward, candidates should have a good experience.
  • Set up compensation strategies, build an efficient pipeline, and proper team planning to reach hiring targets.
  • Build an inclusive environment and diversify our candidate pool.
  • Make the entire Luma team better recruiters, including brand messaging, hiring manager intake calibration, candidate qualification, debrief decisions, candidate offer generation, and closing.
  • Help build and transmit a welcoming employer brand, promoting our employer value proposition and growing brand awareness.
  • Responsible for the strategy and execution of how we structure our roles and responsibilities in a way that is aligned with our current and future stages.

  • You have 7+ years of in-house recruiting experience in high-growth companies.
  • You have led fast scaling of companies while preserving hiring quality.
  • You are a self-starter who gets the job done.
  • You are unafraid and can dive into any new guild where we need to hire.
  • You understand the types of roles and talent we are working with, and know the market we are competing with.
  • You have outstanding interpersonal skills to provide clarity on recruiting vision, strategy, and status across the organization.
  • You have the vision and charisma to understand our mission, embed it into the hiring process and sell it to candidates.
  • You have a candidate-focused mentality and create an astonishing candidate experience.
  • Expert-level experience in choosing, setting up and using ATS.
  • You are organized, have a high attention to detail and can prioritize effectively.
  • You think outside the box in where to find and how to attract exceptional talent.
  • You have a sense of humor.
