Thisfulltime position offers the opportunity to work in a cuttingedgelaboratory environment with a focus on preparing pathologicalslides for diagnosticprocedures.
KeyResponsibilities :
- Performroutine and emergency tests on various body fluids using automatedand manual equipment
- Preparereagents and manage inventory
- Assistwith order entry and phoneinquiries
- Provide guidance totechnicians and train newemployees
- Maintain a clean work areafollowing Infection Controlguidelines
Requirements
- Bachelorsdegree in a physical science; medical technologypreferred.
- NewYork State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or a limitedpermit is required.
- Proficiency withlaboratory and hospital information system computers as well asvarious automated and laboratory equipment isessential.
