About The Position
Job Title : EEG Technician - Night Shift Job Specialty : Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : 3, 12-hour shifts - 36 hours in one workweek Experience : 2 years required License : For start dates 2-4 weeks out, must have state or compact license in hand.
For start dates 4+ weeks out, must have started the state / compact licensing process. Certifications : ABRET, BLS, R.EEG T.
Must-Have : Experience with Collodion / glue EEG hook-up Job Description : Clinicians must be willing to work 5 x 8-hour shifts during their first week or two for training.
- Open to first-time candidates if all other requirements are met.- Types of cases include Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, sEEG, Neurotelemetry, Ictal SPECT, routine EEG, Trauma, and Critical Care.
- Requires floating between affiliated hospitals and covering both pediatric and adult patients as needed.- Must be comfortable working with all patient populations, including trauma and critical care units.
- Work schedule includes the requirement of working 2 out of 3 major holidays.- Special requirement for Collodion / glue EEG hook-up.
- Facility is a short-term acute care environment with staff wearing royal blue scrubs.- Charting is done using Cerner.- Compliance with required flu vaccine;
medical / religious exemptions accepted.- Modules required for orientation are non-billable, averaging 6-12 hours for completion.
