JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate is responsible for effective provisioning, installation / configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.
This individual participates in the whole process lifecycle from technical research to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure through to application / product delivery.
This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, volunteers, and Partners.
The successful candidate will be managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running Windows operating systems.
They will manage a Windows domain, using Active Directory, Group Policy, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, SCCM, PowerShell, VMware, and Centrify.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- Minimum five (5) years of related systems engineering experience in systems administration and analysis
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
- Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running Windows operating systems
- Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems through approval and processing of patches
- Interact with users and evaluates vendor products
- Research and recommends hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery
- Monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources
- May program in an administrative language
- Leverage scripting and system automation tools
- Oversees implementation of testing strategies and documentation of results
- Provides advice and training to end-users
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned
- They will manage a Windows domain using Active Directory, Group Policy, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), PowerShell, VMware, and Centrify
- Uses VMware to build and maintain virtual machines
- Maintains systems documentation
The likely salary range for this position is Salary Range : $101,566.40 to $169,624.00 This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
