What to Expect (Job Responsibilities) :
- Collaborate within a team setting on various architectural projects
- Conduct research, site visits, data collection, sketches, and renderings
- Prepare and oversee the creation of preliminary studies, sketches, and renderings of buildings and structures
- Review plans for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulations
- Monitor construction progress through on-site observations to ensure adherence to design plans
What is Required (Qualifications) :
- Degree in architecture is required
- Minimum five years of professional experience in a design firm; seven years preferred
- Experience with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and MS Office
- Strong understanding of architectural principles and practices
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a team environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications) :
- Licensed architect preferred; experience will be considered in lieu of license
- Preferred experience with State of Hawaii codes and industry standards
- Familiarity with commercial, education, hospitality, and / or multi-family residential project types
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Demonstrated ability to contribute meaningfully to project success
