Echo Lake Country Club, located in Westfield, New Jersey, just thirty miles from New York City, is an esteemed 18-hole member-owned club with a rich history dating back to 1899.

The Club's golf course was designed by Donald Ross in 1913. Echo Lake Country Club was formed through the merger of the Cranford Golf Club and the Westfield Golf Club, and it boasts a family-oriented atmosphere, championship golf course, pool, and paddle program.

A recent $12-million renovation has transformed the 30,000 square-foot Clubhouse into a vibrant hub, offering three bars, banquet facilities, multi-level dining, expansive patios, and breathtaking Manhattan Skyline views.

In 2021, Echo Lake's Clubhouse was honored with the "Clubhouse Renovation of the Year" award from Club Inc. Magazine. The Club maintains a substantial waitlist for membership and boasts a long-term employment history.

We are seeking available Bartenders to create classic drinks loved universally and drinks unique to our menu. Bartenders are expected to serve our Members and guests in a welcoming and professional manner.

Bartenders will be able to learn the ins and outs of the world of hospitality and top-notch service.

Qualifications and Required Skills :

• Above the age of 18 to serve liquor in the State of NJ.
• Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED.
• Bartending License from a Bartending school preferred but not required.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Bar or restaurant background preferred.
• Basic spirit, cocktail, wine and beer knowledge.
• Ability to stand for long periods throughout the day and can carry up to 20lbs.
• Memorization skills :
• Cater to Food & Beverage menu knowledge requirements.
• Learn Membership names to build a memorable experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Roles & Responsibilities :

• Providing an unforgettable dining experience and exquisite customer service for Members by catering to their food & beverage needs (Both alcoholic & N / A drinks).
• Menu knowledge to answer any food and beverage questions from Membership. (ex. What is gluten free? What type of bourbon is in this drink?)
• Make traditional and creative cocktails to elevate the Membership experience.
• Provide drinks for guests at the bar, as well as service bar drinks (Alcoholic & N / A beverages).
• Maintain a clean and presentable work environment : polishing glassware, sorting bottles in an orderly manner, wiping bottles during and at the end of their shift, and cleaning workstations and bar top.
• Maintain an orderly liquor room; place bottles and canned beverages in assigned place, keep juices neatly stocked, throw away ALL empty boxes, etc.
