American Heat Treating, Inc. (AHT) located in Monroe, CT, was founded in 1981 to serve the saw bland and tooling businesses.
It has become one of the finest and most versatile heat treating facilities in the Northeast. Today, the company serves a variety of industries.
AHT provides pick-up and delivery services in the southern and central areas of Connecticut. We offer heat treating processes such as continuous austempering, continuous hardening, tempering, molten salt, brazing batch carburizing, carbonitriding and induction hardening.
We can carbon restore, normalize, and homogenize. Vacuum processes such as hardening, annealing, tempering, aging, precipitation hardening, and stress relieving are also processes we perform to our customers requirements.
Summary
Responsible for maintaining the AHT quoting and sales process, as well as developing and maintaining customer database utilizing customer service follow up.
The successful candidate works with all departments within AHT to provide internal customer service insights to ensure customer satisfaction and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain quoting process to ensure timely and accurate quotes to customers.
- Provide updates on expired quotes.
- Produce new job quotations with the assistance of production.
- Follow up on quotes, ensure quoted jobs are received with proper part number to match the quote and the verified process.
- Verifying invoices sending invoices and filing work orders.
- Responsible for Quotes to Order ratio.
- Help in identifying new business within existing customers as well as AHT geographical market areas.
- Develop communication with customer and help AHT grow customer service culture.
- Maintain and track measurables.
- Labeling the business sector per jobs in AHT (in Visual Shop)
- Provide customer support regarding logistic and problem resolution.
- Communicate with customers via phone, letters, emails, and personal visits.
- Help in conducting customer survey programs which includes AHT performance vs. competitors
Qualifications and Education
Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing sales, or 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial heat treating, with 3 to 5 years in management.
