About the Role
iCapital is looking for a Vice President to join its Fund Finance Private Capital team to focus on Private Capital Fund Accounting & Administration duties.
This individual will work closely with other team members, vendors, senior management, & clients on a variety of accounting & reporting processes.
This role will report to the Managing Director, Fund Finance Private Equity.
Responsibilities
- Work with iCapitals implementation teams with regards to new business & fund launches.
- Review feeder fund draft documents (LPA / PPM) as well as underlying fund operational questionnaires prior to fund launch.
Provide feedback to internal legal or fund origination teams if there is anything that should be considered from a fund finance perspective.
- Determine commitment sizes to underlying funds & conduct analysis on feeder fund expenses.
- Oversee quarterly feeder fund NAV & partners capital account statement issuance by the team & track KPIs.
- Review & sign-off on capital call & distribution cash analysis, investor allocation files & notices prepared by third party admins & Associate or AVP members of the Fund Finance team.
- Participate in management-level meetings internally & externally.
- Attend prospective clients on-site due diligence.
- Approve & release quarterly management fee payment wires.
- Facilitate & work with iCapital Technology & Product teams to drive process automation & efficiency.
- Monitor funds compliance with the partnership operating agreement terms.
- Oversee the funds progress on preparation of annual fund financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
- 10-15 years of financial services or asset management accounting & operations experience
- Alternative investments fund administration & operations is a plus
- Advanced degree and / or credentials, or progress towards MBA, CPA, CFA, or CAIA designation is a plus
- Passion for the application of innovative technology
- Proven ability to multi-task & work both independently & as a team player in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Strong verbal, written, & interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to learn new topics & work in an evolving business environment
- Organized & detail oriented with big picture capability
Benefits
The base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $180,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, & an annual performance bonus.
