Licensed Psychiatrist
Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced Licensed Psychiatrist for our client, a wonderful, new behavioral health and treatment center located in Portland, OR! This opportunity offers the chance to provide compassionate support to the surrounding community.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
- Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management and psychotherapy.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of mental health disorders, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and substance abuse disorders,
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and other mental health professionals.
- Coordinate patient care with primary care physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive treatment.
- Participate in case conferences, treatment planning meetings, and team discussions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with federal and state regulations, including HIPAA.
- Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure adherence to clinic policies and procedures, including informed consent and patient confidentiality.
- Conduct group therapeutic season
- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Advocate for patients' needs within the healthcare system and the broader community.
- Stay current with developments in psychiatry and participate in ongoing professional development.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Registered Nurse (RN) Licensure, Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PhD in Nursing.
- 5+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Board of Oregon certified LCSW, LMSW, LPC, or Licensed Psychologist.
- NPI number enrolled with Medicaid.
- CADC substance-use license and treatment experience.
- Experience as an individual or family therapist.
- Experience providing clinical supervision to therapeutic staff.
- Experience with crisis management.
- Valid Oregon Driver's License.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :
This wonderful opportunity offers the ability to make an amazing impact by working with this behavioral health center! The hourly pay rate is $120 - $133 per hour plus a $800 monthly benefits stipend, PTO and paid national holidays.
