Zurich / RCIS are currently looking for a Claims Crop Field Adjuster II to work out of Illinois, whose role will assist with claims duties.

This incumbent will work from their home office.

As a Field Claims Specialist, your primary accountabilities will include :

• Complete field inspections and related responsibilities such as reading maps and aerial photos, measuring field and storage bins, and discussing findings of crop loss with farmers
• Perform fact finding regarding crop damage; record information and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential damages
• Provide excellent service and positive attitude to our customers both agents and policyholders (farmers) and our peers / adjusters
• Utilize company software to electronically transmit claims information directly from the field to RCIS to ensure claims are processed timely and accurately
• Follow regulatory and company rules, policies and procedures
• Leading adjusters in all areas, answering questions, handling presentations, assisting in ride-alongs for ACM.
• Training of field staff and working or providing guidance on difficult or complicated claims.
• Assisting ACM in Claims Assignments, File Reviews, Compliance (APH), High Dollar / Large Dollar reviews and Field Reviews for both MPCI and Hail
• Ability to serve as an interim manager in the Area Claims Managers absence.
• Available to serve as subject matter expert on topics as requested.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, staying current with industry trends, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.

Basic Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in Claims Crop Insurance adjusting.
• Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained with 180 days of hire date.
• Reliable personal transportation and travel within territory
• Valid Drivers License
• RCIS Crop Adjuster Physical Requirements : walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs, work outdoors in varying temperatures / weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications :

• More than 3 years of Claims Crop Insurance adjusting experience.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Strong organization and prioritization skills
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, which includes the ability to create power points for trainings and do Spreadsheets
