Job Summary :
As a Machine Shop Operator II, you are expected to set up equipment in accordance with print specifications and work instructions;
make adjustments to maintain set-up; perform equipment or machinery set-up including stamping dies, forming dies, machining dies, etc, and perform daily and / or weekly operator equipment maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications :
No minimum education required
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing and / or warehouse environment
Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1 / 32"
Preferred Qualifications :
Experience operating iron worker, press brakes, hydraulic shear, band saw, milling machines, plasma and other related equipment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Set up equipment in accordance with print specifications and work instructions; make adjustments to maintain set-up; perform equipment or machinery set-up including stamping dies, forming dies, machining dies, etc
Perform daily and / or weekly operator equipment maintenance
Proficiently operate iron worker, press brakes, hydraulic shear, band saw, milling machines, plasma and other equipment
Utilize inspection gauges such as dial calipers, protractors, squares, and height gauges to perform quality checks on parts
Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to determine appropriate operations to be performed
Drive forklift and maintain necessary certification
Operate cranes, hoists, and lift tables to load / unload material
Route parts and components to the proper department or storage location
Label materials produced and scan shop orders within an ERP system
Efficiently prioritize workload and use of available resources with time constraints
Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules
