We make everything from scratch and are consistently rated in the top 10 for college dining! We have our own butcher shop, bakeshop, and organic garden that all supply food to our 2 dining halls and 3 retail locations.

This position will support our SuperSnack operation in Thorne Hall. This is a highly popular, late night service for students.

The Casual Dining Assistant is responsible for the following :

• Performs functions in support of cold food preparation, servery set up and replenishment, and customer food service.
• Sanitation duties as assigned which include but is not limited to, sweeping and moping floors, working the dish room and pots & pans cleaning area, wiping walls, tables, and chairs, cleaning employee restrooms, all kitchen cooking equipment, refrigerated, frozen, and dry storage area, and loading dock area.
• Operate computerized checking system that determines access eligibility to the dining halls.
• Greet dining service patrons and verifying student identification / board eligibility for specific meals.
• Verify meal counts.
• Provide coverage for the front and back of the house, filling in as needed.

Pay rate : $18.00 / per hour + shift differential Education / Skills Requirements Required :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong problem solving and customer service skills
• Ability to understand and practice recycling and sustainability practices.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, multi-task efficiently,
• Ability to follow written and oral direction
• Ability to perform simple mathematic equations
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must demonstrate good personal hygiene practices.

Experience Requirements and / or Equivalents

No prior experience necessary. Willing to train the right candidate for the role!

Preferred :

• Demonstrated reliability
• Some related experiences.

Standard Work Days and Hours

• This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position working less than 20 hours / week.
• The candidate selected will work SuperSnack shift (i.e., SuperSnack shift SuperSnack is a highly popular, late night service for students.

Employees hired into this shift will be eligible for shift differential).
