Description
Collaborates with Trauma Medical Director and Trauma Program Director on clinical and research components of the Trauma Program.
- Responsible for clinical activities of the Trauma Program including : liaison between Trauma Program and clinical departments and staff;
- education resources and instructor in trauma care and trauma related topics for medical, nursing, allied health, para-professional and pre-hospital personnel;
participates in a multi-disciplinary framework to integrate allied health care recommendations into the nursing care plan.
Responsible for the development of research strategy performing the following research related activities : creates, implements, monitors and evaluates department policies for recording and retrieving background information, literature searches, preparation of reports for clinical and performance improvement data analysis.
Activities may include consulting with other disciplines to identify and coordinate research ideas, methodology, data collection, and analysis;
developing and recommending implementation of trauma research projects; developing and maintaining a close relationship with physician and nursing staff that provide care to trauma patients in order to identify potential research projects and activities.
Education
Bachelors Degree : Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Required)
Masters Degree (Preferred)
Other : Trauma Nurse Core Course (Preferred)
Experience
5 Years experience in trauma, critical care or emergency department (Required)
License / Certifications
RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
BCEN - Brd of Cert for Emergency Nrsg (Preferred)
CCRN - Cert Critical Care RN (Preferred)
40 hrs. per week / 8 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm / Monday-Friday
