OmniVision Technologies is the automotive industry’s leading supplier of CMOS imaging solutions for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) with proven track record of delivering innovative imaging solutions that meet and exceed the unique requirements of the automotive industry.

As the OEM Business Development manager, you will be supporting and developing our activities with the automotive OEMs in North America (mainly Detroit Area) : identify prospective opportunities, develop new relationships as well as support existing customers / partners.

Responsibilities-

  • Management of Automotive OEM customers in North America in close collaboration with the local sales teams.
  • Drive pre-sales and OEM design-ins through a strong technical partnership, with the support of OVT engineering teams.
  • Lead the OEM pre-sales activities working with the Sales, Marketing and FAE teams worldwide.
  • Maintain regular contact with key OEM customers during key next generation project developments.
  • Develop strong customer relationships with key technical staff, procurement staff and decision makers
  • Close collaboration with the other members of the global OEM team
  • Stay abreast of technology trends in the imaging and automotive camera based ADAS market
  • Network within the industry and build relationships
  • Local travel expected on a regular basis. 10% domestic or overseas

Experience / Skills-

  • Strong technical background with 5+ years of Electronics or Camera Development experience.
  • Ideally experienced in an Automotive environment and / or Image sensor / Optics (or closely related) fields.
  • Degree level qualifications in Electronics Engineering, optics or closely related subject
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales, marketing or Applications engineering role
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and the ability to manage multiple customer engagements simultaneously
  • Excellent writing and technical reporting skills such as short / mid / long term opportunities
  • Ability to communicate with a diverse group of individuals at all levels of an organization
  • Ability to network within the electronics and automotive industry and build relationships
