Job Title : Production Engineer
Location : Waterloo, IA
Salary : $60-90K
Job Summary : As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the development and implementation of processes, procedures, and systems to ensure the successful manufacturing of new product designs.
Your role will include coordinating activities for the improvement and redesign of existing products as well.
Job Responsibilities :
- Provide guidance and direction in implementing necessary design specifications for new and existing products.
- Provide guidance and direction in implementing manufacturing programs, processes, and procedures as required.
- Provide guidance and direction in implementing safety measures, design layouts, tooling, fixturing, and prototypes.
- Manage and oversee departments involved in manufacturing processes.
- Assist in the implementation of product testing and quality assurance standards and procedures.
- Assist with coordination and procurement of raw materials and component parts as needed.
- Prepare and generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by management.
- Provide support for major projects as directed by senior management.
Education & Experience :
- We prefer candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Process, or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, but we will also consider candidates with an Associates degree.
- We are seeking candidates with 3-10 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering.
- Prior experience with implementing continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, is highly desirable.
- Prior experience with BOM's, routings, and time and motion studies to establish standards is required.
- Experience with MRP / ERP planning and scheduling processes and procedures is preferred.
- Experience with implementing quality assurance programs and procedures is preferred.
- Experience with sampling and final inspection of finished products is preferred.
