Entry Level Electrical Assembler

JOB DESCRIPTION

Calling all Electrical Trainees, Electrician Helpers or recent trade school Electrical / Electrician Grads looking to build their career in the electrical field.

Volt has partnered with a leading manufacturing company in San Diego to help identify multiple Electrical Assemblers to start ASAP.

As an Electrical Assembler you will :

• Fabricate parts, and build electrical / electronic wiring components.
• Perform complete operations to fabricate, assemble and install production and / or first article units, such as control consoles, junction boxes, instrument panels, relay panels and battery racks.
• Work from schematics, wiring diagrams, standard work sheets, engineering detail drawings, oral instructions and established shop practices.
• Select, brand, cut, route, fasten, sleeve, tie and lug wires; assemble and install wiring harnesses
• Locate, drill, mount, and fasten component
• Install control consoles, junction boxes, instrument / relay panels, resistors, capacitors, filters, diodes, circuit boards, heat and speed sensors, transformers, meters, malfunction status indicators, circuit breakers, and fuses.

Requirements :

• 1 year or more of related experience preferred however, we will consider anyone who recently graduated from an electrical trade school, or in school currently earning their certificate.
• Experience using hand tools such as crimpers, wire cutters, soldering irons, drills, screwdrivers, etc
• Ability to read schematics or drawings

We are hiring for the following shifts. We prefer people who can work either shift but flexible. Everyone must train on 1st shift for 1 month.

Positions are temp for 15 months with strong potential to go temp to perm within 2 - 3 months.

• $20.00 / hour 1st shift - 5 : 30am - 2pm
• $20.75 / hour 2nd shift - 2pm - 10 : 30pm

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
