Verification Coordinator

A company is looking for a Verification / Authorization Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

Review referral information for accuracy in the EMR system

Obtain necessary authorizations while ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations

Assist in collecting client and payor information for accuracy and efficiency

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Two years' experience in a medical office or home health benefit verification or billing

Knowledge of commercial insurance carriers' guidelines for verification and authorization

Familiarity with insurance billing and terminology

Post-secondary education or training in business or medical billing / collections is preferred
