Northwell Health’s Division of Pediatric Palliative Medicine is seeking Physicians for its inpatient consult service to join the growing team at Cohen Children’s Medical Center.
This unique role is looking for both part time or full-time physicians. The ideal candidate should be Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pediatrics and be fellowship trained in Pediatric Palliative Care and Hospice Medicine.
Candidates with board certification in additional subspecialities relevant to Palliative Care will be considered.
The successful candidate with join 2 other Pediatric Palliative Care physicians, both also board certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine and dividing their time between 2 positions.
We work closely with the interdisciplinary teams working with our patients and anticipate expanding our group to include other disciplines over time.
The role will include a large educational component including supervising and teaching medical students, pediatric residents, HPM residents from the adult fellowship and hospitalist fellows, as well as giving lectures to the Pediatric residents and supporting the interdisciplinary staff.
There is opportunity for research with a wide range of patient diagnoses to support clinical trials.
Faculty appointment will be with the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell, and clinical rank will be commensurate with experience.
The position will include academic and research opportunities as well as professional growth opportunities. Our patient population is very diverse in both socioeconomic status as well as types of diagnoses.
