We are a local family business that has been operating in the islands for about 38 years and employs over 160 employees. The Art Source, Inc.

is the parent company to our three sister companies - Pictures Plus, Plus Interiors & CocoNene. Our core competency as a business is local manufacturing of customizable products for the home : artwork, interior furniture & home decor.

We make all the products in our factory on the west side of Oahu in Kapolei and we sell to our customers through our various retail locations on Oahu, Maui and the Big Island.

We are looking for a part-time or full-time positive, driven, up-beat sales associate to be a brand ambassador to all things Aloha for our CocoNene store in Kahala Mall.

This means providing unmatched customer service, selling our fun and Hawaii-made decor & souvenirs, all while imparting our own unique Hawaii stories with guests.

Pay average is about $18-22 / h (base pay plus commissions). Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits : medical coverage, 401k, paid time off and an employee discount (25% across all sister brands).

Part-time employees qualify for the employee discount of 25% across all sister brands. This position comes with opportunity for career growth and it's an employee-run business, so the value and profits that gets created goes back into our business and employees!

Day-to-day responsibilities :

• Sharing our story & brand with guests
• Servicing guests by providing product knowledge in an authentic, sincere way
• Keeping the store looking great at all times, cleaning as needed
• Basic cashiering, stock and inventory duties
• Hitting individual sales goals

Here is what we are looking for in candidates :

• Experience in customer service and sales / retail, preferred
• Experience with handling cash and point of sales systems, preferred
• Inventory experience a plus
• Friendly, outgoing, positive attitude, excited to share the CocoNene Way and products with customers
• Goal-oriented, driven to grow sales
• Reliable
• Quick learner
• Computer literacy
• Fluent in Japanese speaking, a plus
• High school graduate or equivalent

Status and Schedule :

• Flexible, must be available to work most days, including weekends
• Able to open & close (store hours 10am-6 / 7pm), we are flexible on the opening and closing shifts.
