Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY : The Distribution Associate is responsible for performing / controlling a combination of manual and automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product.

This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, and delivery. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION (Other duties may be assigned.) :

• Packs and pulls orders with Radio Frequency (RF) handheld terminals.
• Loads and unloads trucks and containers.
• Stocks inventory with RF handheld terminals.
• Processes orders on Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Receives orders and finished goods on WMS with RF terminals.
• Responsible for maintaining an organized work area.
• Willing to become successfully certified on Powered Industrial Equipment, Forklift, Walkies, Turret Trucks, etc. ALL NEW EMPLOYEES START OFF UNLOADING TRUCKS FOR THE FIRST 60 DAYS for 2.

5 - 3 hours a day. WILL LEARN, STAGING, PICKING, PACKING in the afternoon.

Hard Skills

• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Standing and walking for duration of shift

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in WHITESTOWN, Indiana.

Work Environment

1st Shift 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM (Straight 9-hour days for now. Will pick up to 5-10 hours OT during peak season in November).

This is a clean and climate-controlled environment, but will get cooler in the winter and warmer in the summer. Great culture - GM genuinely takes part in growing careers of employees.

Friendly / Family-feel environment. 25-30 team members - Working with different associates in different departments. Dress Code : work pants, shorts, shirts (no holes), Closed-toe shoes (Boots provided after brought on full-time).
