- The oncology registered nurse will help educate patients about treatment options, procedures and particularities of the disease and keeps self-up to date with new treatment methods.
- Staff is required to maintain a level of physical / mental health needed to perform their duties effectively.* Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics, Avera St.
Mary's Service and Care Standards as well as the Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives.Education and / or Experience* Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure in the State of South Dakota, at least 1 year of registered nursing experience is desirable, but not required.
Licensure / Certification / Registration* Participates in educational opportunities and updates / maintains current professional clinical competency related to area of responsibility.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for all patient care staff.* Chemotherapy / Biotherapy Certification recommended, ONS preferred.
- Attends all mandatory hospital and departmental meetings and in-services.Work Schedule* Day Shift; PRN* 7 : 45 am - 5 : 30 pmPayThe hourly range for this position is listed below.
Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.* $29.50 - $44.25 per hour
