Join our teams and apply your expertise as a Legal Counsel.

As the Legal Counsel you will counsel, review, draft and negotiate contracts for the sale of equipment and related solutions, with North American customers as well as counsel, review, draft and negotiate contracts ancillary to the above or otherwise related to the business, such as nondisclosure agreements, supplier and sub-contractor agreements, license agreements, and leases.

You will also support business acquisition and divestiture activities in North America to include due diligence and transaction documentation.

In addition, you will assist and manage dispute resolutions related to customer projects, supplier agreements and third-party claims, collections, etc.

What you’ll need :

To excel in the role, you should be a compassionate contributor to drive and ensure responsiveness and excellence across the legal function.

A sense of ownership to guide internal and external stakeholder collaboration to a desired point. You have a solid understanding of the business environment and be comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization.

You balance a desire to work closely with others to set the strategic direction, limit risk and work with customers to provide long-lasting value and relationships.

Successful candidates will benefit from experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel addressing various types of contracts and have experience providing insight and direction in multiple areas of law.

Experience in the pulp, paper and energy industries is also beneficial.
