Job Summary :
The Service Writer is responsible for assisting customers with their service and repair needs for RVs and boats. This position involves creating service orders, providing estimates, coordinating with service technicians, and ensuring a smooth and efficient service process.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet customers and evaluate their service needs.
- Create detailed and accurate service orders.
- Provide cost estimates for repairs and maintenance.
- Schedule service appointments and coordinate with service technicians.
- Communicate with customers regarding service updates, timelines, and any additional repairs needed.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing questions and concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
- Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in automotive or marine services preferred.
- Previous experience as a service writer or in a similar customer service role.
- Strong understanding of RV and boat systems and components.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in using computer software for service orders and records.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
