About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : Operating Room / Surgical Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 6 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday to Friday, 8 to 12 hours a day (depending on cases);
On Call : Yes, every other weekend and sometimes 2 to 3 days a week during the on-call week Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years of scrubbing experience in an operating room setting License : Certification and registration as a Certified Surgical Technologist Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Must-Have : - Certification as a surgical technologist (CST)- 2 years of scrubbing experience in an operating room setting- BLS certification- Good communication skills- Proficiency in sterilization Job Description : - Responsible for planning and preparing for surgical procedures and assisting the surgeon.
Ensure the sterilization of surgical equipment and assemble scheduled and emergency case carts.- Participate in on-call duties, requiring availability every other weekend and occasionally during the week.
Additional Requirements : - High School diploma or equivalent- Fluent in English : Speak, Read, and Write proficiently- Must reside within 100 miles of the job location Job Category : Clinical Allied Travel
