Job Overview : A reputable civil litigation law firm in Houston, TX, is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with 1-5 years of litigation experience.
The attorney will handle various aspects of civil litigation, from case investigation and strategy development to representing clients in State and Federal Courts.
The firm handles both simple and complex litigation, and the ideal candidate will manage a caseload with ongoing deadlines while developing trial strategies and advocating for clients.
Duties :
- Manage a volume of litigation cases with shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Conduct case development, including investigation, evaluation, and trial strategy formulation.
- Perform legal research and analysis of complex legal issues.
- Represent clients at depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and written discovery.
- Participate in trials, particularly in State Courts.
Requirements :
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
- 1-5 years of experience in civil litigation.
- Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong client relationship-building and communication skills.
Education :
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Skills :
- Experience with depositions, motions, and legal drafting.
- Strong litigation and courtroom presence.
- Ability to develop case strategies and handle complex legal issues.
- Personal injury litigation experience preferred.
- Excellent negotiation and client advocacy skills.
