Description :
Structural designer with experience working on Structural Steel design. This role will support a company that designs and manufacture a wide range of bulk material handling installations, such as conveyors for overland or floating applications, as well as ship and barge loaders and unloaders.
They also design and build radial stackers and TeleStackers. Additionally, manufacture standard conveyors such as belt conveyors, drag conveyors, screw conveyors, and bucket elevators.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Develop structural (Produce drawings in Tekla) drawings within many aspects of Bulk Material
Handling, including conveyors, cranes, storage facilities, etc.
Develop detailed drawings of mechanical equipment and supporting structures
according to engineering sketches and specifications for bulk material handling systems.
Occasionally travel to job sites to collect design information.
Work Experience
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE :
Preferred Bachelor's degree or Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school with a drafting certificate
Knowledge / understanding of AISC, ASCE, ASME, CEMA, AWS, OSHA, MSHA standards and practices preferred
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 5 years of Tekla design experience in steel structures, including shop fabrication drawings.
Ability to work independently
Proven ability to work in a team environment and be a self-starter.
Written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Must be able to process information and follow the guidelines
Demonstrates understanding and support of company initiatives and direction
