About The Role :

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, modifying and acquiring equipment and tooling in a fast paced, high volume assembly and manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Troubleshoot machine malfunctions using knowledge gained in manufacturing environment and engineering discipline.
  • Capability to troubleshoot electrical wiring.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems on equipment.
  • Evaluate equipment malfunctions with a sense of urgency to minimize downtime.
  • Modify equipment as necessary to improve safety, quality, productivity, and reliability.
  • Provide Support in the maintenance and repair of production machinery and equipment and assist with major overhauls, etc.

Equipment includes but not limited to, production machinery and support equipment.

  • Ability to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic systems and equipment used in industrial manufacturing to include maintaining electronic systems and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Role Purpose :

  • This position will be direct support to the Indianapolis assembly and fabrication lines.
  • Responsible for the equipment uptime for assigned department.
  • Ensure the use of the Carrier Excellence tools in increasing attainment for production equipment.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Associates degree in? Robotics, Automations, Controls,? or? Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years experience in the troubleshooting and maintenance of? manufacturing equipment
