- Closed ICU system with multidisciplinary rounds (nurse, APP, pharmacy, and others)
- Good work-life balance with 1 week in the ICU and 3 weeks in the outpatient clinic
- Physician extender / APP on service every day
- Average of 1 : 4 call; weekends, total call time, and holidays shared equally with the entire group
- At-home phone coverage at night with the in-house hospitalist providing most emergency care
- Given weekdays off to compensate for any weekend call
