Veterinary Technician Anesthesia Nurse
We are looking to add to our growing hospital and are in search of a veterinary nurse ( vet tech ) to join our Anesthesia Department with a minimum of three years of experience as a veterinary nurse monitoring anesthesia.
Experience with both critical and non-critical cases is preferred.
Current CVT / LVT / RVT preferred or educational equivalent.
The schedule we are hiring for is :
Daytime : Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8am - 6pm
Your skills & experience and how you'll utilize them to help our patients :
- Broad knowledge of basic small animal medicine (pharmacology, proper restraint / handling, venipuncture, laboratory testing)
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of medical terminology, medications, and disease processes
- Anesthesia : Induction, monitoring, troubleshooting, recover patients
- Work with board certified Anesthesiologists
- Position and capture of radiographs
- Communicate with clients , and team members (verbally and written)
- Attention to detail and a calm demeanor required
- Ability to work in a fast paced, environment
- Fear Free handling : safe, stress free interactions for team members, clients, and patients
